Yeovil Agility Club

 

We are a small friendly dog agility training club, where everyone can train their pet dogs to a good competition standard.  Many of our members compete at KC shows or UKA shows at the weekends.  Agility will keep you and your dog fit and healthy, and you will make new like minded friends.

The Club offers agility for fun, so whether you want to compete or simply have fun with your dog, you will always be welcome at our Club, where you can train in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Our main aim, as a Club, is for everyone to enjoy  themselves at agility training.  

Dog Agility is the fastest growing canine sport in the world.  It compares very well to obedience.  If  you enjoy doing obedience with your dog then you will love doing agility.  

As well as once weekly training sessions at a level to suit both you and your dog, we hold fun dog agility competition days, social events with and without the dogs and organised trips out to places of interest such as Crufts and Olympia.

Training is held on Thursday evenings on the all-weather arena at the WHW farm near Ilchester. All training is reward based, using voice, toys and treats.

The Club provides displays to local charities and community groups, this gives our members the opportunity to demonstrate some of their skills they have learnt, and also enables some of our young dogs to train in new environments. Displays are also a friendly introduction to the competition - type environment.
